Why are Devin's so awesome?
I think Devin's are so awesome because that's just the way that God simply made us, and I can't help but being the best, I mean I wake up every day and I pee excellence basically.
What was your favorite part in making this EP?
Really, being able to just lay down and record the tracks. Every time that we go to the recording studio I feel like I just get a little better, a little tighter. I feel like James Paul Wisner, who we did the EP with, really pushed me to try a little something new for the EP.
What's your favorite song to play live?
I honestly love the Whisperer, which was the last song of the set. Just the orchestration and all the harmonies it's just an awesome song all together.
If you could have anyone cover one of your songs living or dead who would it be?
Wow that's an awesome question, I gotta think about that. That's so crazy I never thought about that. I would love if Queen covered one of our songs; I think Queen would do a crazy job.
What was the first band that introduced you to this music scene, if you can remember?
I guess it really depends what you would call our music scene, cause I feel like our demographic is very wide.
It is very wide, what's the first band that introduced to music that inspired you to become…
You know what, Incubus actually did. Back in the day I used to love Brandon Boyd, who's the lead singer, just his music was just; they're just a phenomenal band of people.
What's it like being on tour and in a way having to in a way grow up on the road since you're all so young?
It's a ball; like that's plain and simple I think that covers it. Just being on the road all the time and meeting new people every day and playing shows for people who actually just hear about us I love it its awesome.
What was your best show experience, or one of the best things to happen at a show?
I can't remember the exact date or the place that it was but we definitely played a show and I remember just looking out into the crowd there was probably a good two, three hundred people, which is a lot for us lately, and they were just all singing the words and just yelling and trying to grab the mic it was an awesome experience.
How's it feel today with people singing all the words to the new songs?
We talked about it in the van the whole way here, they already know it and it just officially came out the other day, we streamed for a little bit.
Like I told Blake, I liked it so much I ripped it off your myspace.
You know what that's fine, and someone asked me today in an interview, they're like 'how do you feel about people ripping music and stuff' and we're like as long as they get exposed to it and listen to it.
How old were you when you first got involved in music?
Music in general, I mean, I play bass in this band but I've been doing drums and guitar ever since fourth or fifth grade. I mean my dad's a musician so it was just a matter of time till when we found the right core people to really come together and do this.
How have you been in the band? Because I know the line-up has always been changing.
The line-up has changed a lot. I can probably officially say that its' definitely solid and this is what we're rolling with, but I have been in this band for almost 2 years now, right when we had the guy singer.
How did you come together with them?
I met them on myspace actually, I was in another band and, we live in all different parts of Florida, I actually live almost an hour and a half away, and I saw them and I'm like 'you know what I wanna try out for these guys, you know they need a bass player' and I went down there and everything went great.
What's the weirdest thing you can remember that's ever happened on tour
The weirdest thing, probably going to hotels and them not letting us all sleep in one room, because we are still trying to make money and they just don't understand that a band needs to come together and that was pretty weird, got kicked out of a lot of hotels.
What's your favorite city?
I love Pittsburg because my family is from there, because the kids who come out to the shows we play there are just phenomenal. Not saying that all the kids aren't phenomenal but yeah I love Pittsburg a lot.
What's one place you've never been but have always wanted to go?
California and that's crazy because we're actually gonna be there on the We The Kings tour.
What was it like to sign with Fueled By Ramen?
Everything just felt so right the whole time since the beginning they just y'know they've been taking care of us and I think that everyone and ourselves can really see what they're doing with our band and I think that really explains enough, we couldn't ask for anything more.
What advice would you give kids who want to start a band or pursue a career in music?
You have to know that sometimes you gotta sacrifice it all, we've had times where we're eating cheese sandwiches having no money and we had to quit our jobs and really just find a great, dedicated group of people and just give it your all if its really what you want to do just do whatever it takes.
What was high school like for you?
High school was interesting because, I think everyone could say the same that we were all wanting to pursue music and bands and being like in school and learning things that I don't always necessarily use and apply but all my parents told me was as long as you graduate you can do whatever you want. So, it was interesting let's just say that.
How do you feel about being compared to Paramore?
Hah, I think it's awesome!! No, no all I have to say is everyone has their opinions, but you know what if it wasn't Paramore it would be the band before us and if it wasn't that band it be the band before them. All we say is don't comparamore us, that's all. I think all the guys would say it. It just works out. It's funny cause we love those guys and we're so cool with them that's just how it worked out, we're doing two different things.
Who would you consider the "mom" or "dad" of the band?
It'd be Blake, Blake, you know what that's crazy I'm gonna take that back, I'm gonna say Anthony cause Anthony is just like the core group and he makes sure everything gets done and that we're always on time. Now we have a tour manager for all that but Anthony is definitely the "mom" or "dad".

Soda, because I'm from Florida its soda, but if you were asking my family in Pennsylvania or in Michigan it'd be Pop, "pap".
Winter, spring, summer or fall?
Winter, even though I'm freezing my butt off. If it's not that cold I love winter it gets me all excited.
Have you ever had a reoccurring dream?
All the time and it sucks because I will have it, probably the max times it will reoccur is about three times and it continues a story and right when I want to get to the end I can never finish it, ever and I will never finish it and that makes me mad.
What's one you remember most?
I think I remember the one actually when it was a circus and I was tightrope walking and I almost fell and I'm hanging from it but I don't fall and then I wake up like I'm gonna fall. Here the thing about dreams is that if you fall in your dreams that means that you die. Never mind I take that fact back, she knows better than I do.
If you could be any video game what video game would you be and why?
Ooooh, don't ask me that! I can't pick one! Wow, I'm gonna go classic, and because I dominate at this game and I've loved it since I was in 6th grade I'm gonna go with 007 Golden Eye on Nintendo 64. Or Mario Kart I don't know!

What were your biggest influences while recording this EP?
I think everyone could say movies, and lovely hotel room experiences.
Is it fun to stay in the hotels with everyone, do weird things happen in the rooms?
If you go look at our youtube I think that kind of answers it, we're notorious for making our videos we don't do anything too crazy.
What's your opinion on tour pranks?
Tour pranks are great, until someone gets hurt.
Has anyone ever gotten hurt from one of your tour pranks?
Not to the point where they need to be rushed to the hospital so I guess that's okay as long as we can still get up the next day and go can we play a show, okay we're good we can continue.
What made you combine the words 'vice versa' and 'emerge'?
Did blake ever tell you the history about that? The thing is, the band changes and everything and with every change we go forward.
So, Jerry's the newest member?
He is the newest member.
How did you guys come across him?
Jerry was back in Versa when it was a totally different band and he decided to pursue school and then after we lost James we were like 'hey what's Jerry doing?' and we called him and he's like 'You know what I'm not doing school and I would love to be in your guys' band.' He was always awesome when he was in the band before so it just worked out great.
What gifts, if fans were to give you gifts at a show, would you like to get as a gift at a show?
Well if you were to look at my myspace I personally would love Nerds Rope because they're delicious but I mean we've gotten things from Wal-Mart gift cards to food to bake goods just everything. It's just awesome. If you wanna bring some underwear and socks heck I'll take those too. It's just cool that people come out and they're like 'hey you want this.' My own parents won't even give me things like that. Bracelets, you'll catch me if people make me something, I'll wear it for a long time until it pretty much breaks.

Well let me tell you it was interesting at first we have done a lot of tours lately but honestly she's just like one of the guys she fits in perfectly she burps and farts just like everyone else in the band, she's great it's awesome, that's all I can say about it.
The Fueled By Fans staff would like to thank Sierra, Blake, and Devin for taking the (rather large sum of) time to do this interview with us.
