Bio

The band was formed by lead singer Alex Deleon and bassist Cash Colligan in 2005 who together as a pair began writing and recording demos to put on their myspace page. Deleon asked drummer Alex Johnson, who was playing in a local hardcore band at the time, to join the band. After Johnson joined, the band was finally formed in late 2005 with Alex Marshall as a guitarist/pianist and Paul Garcia as a guitarist.

They were at first signed to Olympus Records in early 2006, but released nothing on the label. They gave their demo to Spencer Smith of Panic at the Disco in 2007 who helped them sign to Decaydance Records. The band graduated from high school shortly after and Garcia was replaced as a guitarist by Ian Crawford.

On April 29th, 2008 their debut-album Whisper War was released with songs produced by Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump. The album also featured Stump and Panic at the Disco lead singer Brendon Urie. Both were featured on the song "One of THOSE Nights", which Stump also wrote.

The Cab have been on tour with bands such as Cobra Starship, We The Kings, Forever the Sickest Kids, Charlotte Sometimes, The Hush Sound and others. In September 2008 they headlined their own west coast tour entitled "Why So Serious?" and in October 2008 toured with Panic at the Disco and Dashboard Coffessional on the Rock Band Live Tour.

In the summer of 2009, The Cab went out on their first headliner tour called "What Happens in Vegas." With this tour they welcomed new guitarist Bryan Dawson, who came in to replace Ian Crawford when he decided to part ways with the band to explore a different kind of music. Before the end of the tour, bassist Cash Colligan took the same path and the band is still without a confirmed bassist.

The band is currently writing and recording their sophomore album, and will be playing The AP Tour in Spring of 2010.
